Licensing Commercial Manager: Nottingham, UK

About the Job

Games Workshop’s extremely successful Licensing department is looking for a commercially astute manager to manage a small team dedicated to sustainably growing its revenue as well as broadening awareness of Games Workshop’s IP worldwide.

So – are you excited by the idea of being responsible for driving the licensing revenue and brand awareness of Games Workshop to new heights through both maximising current relationships and developing new ones across a wide variety of markets?

Day to day you will be using your consummate communication skills to liaise with key licensees, ensuring they are maximising revenue, whilst also making sure that every opportunity is taken to expose Games Workshop’s IP to a new audience. Tirelessly pursuing all marketing angles will be key. Attending trade shows and using your personal network to assuage your insatiable desire for improving your knowledge of any given market will be only two of the ways in which you will generate new licenses; you will have many more! You will also be managing your team to do the same, allocating licensees to each of them and setting high standards and goals that you will help them achieve through supportive coaching and guidance, whilst being an exemplary role model. You will work closely with the Head of Licensing to operationally deliver the strategy for Games Workshop Licensing.  Doing all this will require developing many different relationships globally, both internally and externally, ensuring that all our partnerships are commercially successful for all parties. You will uphold Games Workshop’s reputation as a great Licensor at all times.

What makes this job hard is the relentless need to talk to anyone about anything at any time, whilst staying cheerfully energetic, and focused on developing great partnerships that result in great products.

Working at Games Workshop

At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills or experience.
