About the Job

Are you a senior marketing specialist with a passion for category management? 

Do you have a strong track record in both strategic marketing and marketing activation? Then we may have the new opportunity you have been waiting for.

Our Marketing department is looking for a category manager to lead on a new project.  You’ll share insights about the customer with our product and innovation teams to help them design the products we need.

You will also work with our in-house creative studio in the development and execution of marketing and product campaigns, ensuring they are in line with the defined brand communication plan, are on a budget, and deliver against pre-defined ROI metrics. 

Finally, you will input into the core messaging and content for all marketing and sales collateral. 

This role is responsible for the following:

  • Understanding the customer, category, and market

  • Defining the participation and growth strategy

  • Agreeing on category growth projections 

  • Identifying category drivers and growth opportunities

  • Setting the customer and trade propositions

  • Writing business cases (includes marketing strategy, product and innovation roadmap, Go To Market strategy)

  • Setting the Category and Marketing Plan 

  • Coordination of marketing activity (x-functional working with the following teams: Marketing, eCommerce, Retail and Merchandising, Events, Creative Studio, Sales)

 

You will be an expert on the consumer, category, and market for a specific business segment, you will take responsibility for defining the business plan that will drive incremental and sustainable sales growth. This will include defining and testing customer propositions and developing financial business cases to support key brand initiatives.  You will be able to work autonomously at pace, researching and delivering proposals independently, and have strong integrated communications planning skills. 

You will lead the cross-functional team that delivers the brand plans to drive incremental revenue.
