About the Job

Games Workshop has an exciting new role for a Collections Management Librarian to join our Archiving team, where you will be responsible for completing an inventory and implementing a catalogue system to archive every physical asset that has been created by, or on behalf of, Games Workshop.

Our archiving teams are the hidden heroes who are responsible for ensuring the long-term protection of Games Workshop’s intellectual property through the organisation of its physical and digital assets, including past, present and future assets.

Highly organised and with meticulous attention to detail, you’ll be responsible for completing a comprehensive catalogue of all physical assets of Games Workshop collections. You’ll act as a first point of contact for physical asset enquiries from the wider business, so we’ll look to you to plan efficiently, ensuring everything is where it should be and that you always have the relevant information to hand.

Collaborative and a strong communicator, you’ll work closely with our chosen third-party provider to implement a catalogue system to catalogue every physical asset we’ve ever made, from product to artworks, to miniatures that are in the Warhammer World exhibition. Working closely with key members of the archiving team, you’ll design a metadata schema to create a framework and an appropriate catalogue methodology for all physical artwork held by Games Workshop. We’ll look to you to lead a project group to ensure that all newly created physical assets are catalogued into the system effectively.

We are seeking someone who not only possesses the skills and experience for the role but also upholds our fundamental principles of honesty, humility and courage in their working day. Honesty is at the heart of our team’s ethos, where transparency and integrity guide every interaction. If you’re someone who values ethical conduct and believes in doing the right thing, even when it’s challenging, you’ll find a home with us.

If you have a deep passion for Games Workshop IP and have previous experience working in asset handling, archiving or conservation to a senior level, we’d love to hear from you!
