About the Job

Do you want to work in the exciting and rapidly changing environment at Games Workshop to support and ensure the successful delivery of a new global warehouse solution and manage the technical architecture of Games Workshop’s logistic solutions going forward?

Are you passionate about communicating effectively with precision in this specialist area to a diverse set of stakeholders – importantly to check, challenge and collaborate with the business, IT, specialist suppliers and the wide range of teams in Games Workshop?

Your core responsibilities will include being able to take a lead role in working with key business and technical stakeholders in architecting and designing logistics and warehousing solutions for the current logistics implementations. You will drive short term and long term architectural and solution designs and audit any future changes and proposals. Being a subject matter expert you will be required to provide the IT Team and key stakeholders with technical assistance on support issues and mentor the team on their development.  The role will be part of a larger architectural function and will work closely with the enterprise architect to ensure any architectural or technical decisions fit with Games Workshop’s overall architecture.

Using your understanding of logistics processes, you will need in depth understanding of all the technical elements of logistic solutions including hardware, software, databases, integrations and the application lifecycle. You will need to have the ability to evaluate the current architecture and determine the actual or establish the new. Having proven experience of implementing logistic solutions and being a technical lead on those projects, you will need to be able to create technical strategies, architectural and solution designs.

A key challenge in this role is the balance between the rigour required in system definition and practical change management to ensure the final solution is effective for the business and delivers value. Stakeholder management, diplomacy, detail-oriented, collaboration, and problem solving are vital skills for this role.
