About the Job

Do you want to be responsible for ensuring indirect tax compliance for a fast growing multinational group listed on the London Stock Exchange is done right?  

Reporting to the Group Indirect Tax Manager, you will join a small specialist Tax team that sits within the wider finance function. This team is responsible for advising the business on all international tax aspects, as well as specific projects and transactions across the business.

As Indirect Tax Reporter you will be working with our Accounts department and external advisers to prepare tax returns for indirect taxes worldwide, ensuring all indirect tax filing requirements are accurate and on-time, meeting the tax compliance of the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Preparing, reviewing, filing and paying our global indirect tax returns and associated filings.
  • Completion of VAT control account reconciliations and associated journal entries 
  • Managing the tax email inbox to ensure indirect queries are dealt with
  • Maintain indirect tax compliance calendar of return deadlines
  • Work collaboratively on delivering indirect tax projects
  • Continuously improving the efficiency of the indirect tax processes 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience reporting indirect taxes either in-house or in practice. 
  • Experience in UK and EU VAT
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines in a high volume role.
  • The ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and adjust quickly to manage priorities as necessary.
  • Attention to detail and an ethos of checking and re-checking to ensure figures are right, first time.
  • A strong work ethic and self-motivation to deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to advanced level including PIVOTs, formatting and working with high volumes of data.

The role would suit someone who has previously worked in Indirect taxes in practice or in-house or in a wider accounts department who has filed tax returns. You will also be comfortable presenting on indirect tax issues and trends to other Games Workshop teams.
