About the Job

Do you want to be a part of a small, in-house design team with the remit to develop varied and exciting new hobby products that are targeted towards improving our customers’ hobby experience?

Are you excited by the idea of spending your day finding new and inventive ways to solve problems?  Do you want the opportunity to work in a studio that offers you the chance to design products in a truly end to end design environment? Do you want to be responsible for the creation and development of new hobby products such as painting accessories, hobby tools and carry cases as they move through the design process?

In this role you will be responsible for the development of new hobby products all the way through to the finished article.  Working alongside the rest of the Hobby Products studio you will be engaged at every step of the design process, from initial concept and R&D through sketching, prototyping & CAD; all the way to composing fully detailed product briefs before giving feedback on the finished products as they are about to be released into the world!

We know that what makes this job hard is knowing when to push for your vision for a new product, when to accept a compromise or even when to let a concept go, no matter how much you want to make it! All the while still being able to overcome any problem you encounter to deliver the required number of great new finished products.
