About the Job

Are you an experienced IT Manager with strong problem-solving skills, looking for a new and exciting challenge in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? Games Workshop is looking for a dedicated and hands-on IT Manager to join our team at the Leppington site in Sydney.

Reporting to the UK-based Group IT Manager, this role is responsible for delivering outstanding technology support for the APAC region, covering general IT helpdesk, desktop support, retail stores, and core business application systems. Additionally, this position provides cover for the UK and North American regions during their out-of-hours periods, Monday through Friday. A significant part of this role involves business support for new IT applications being delivered by global project teams.

This role involves both management and hands-on delivery. You will assist your team in providing support and service while managing and planning their workload. Your responsibilities include training and motivating your team to meet service expectations and ensuring support tickets are resolved promptly and efficiently. Making sure your team is trained, motivated, and capable of resolving support tickets quickly and efficiently is crucial. Leading incident management responses, you will work alongside specialist teams in the UK to help deliver network and infrastructure support for our APAC offices and warehouse.

A key aspect of the role involves continuously improving the service delivered, reducing tickets, and improving documentation. Effective communication is essential as you will support all aspects of technology, from desktops to servers, networks, and software applications, with a particular focus on local warehouse systems. Working closely with the wider business, including warehouse and retail operations in Australia, you will ensure the successful delivery of technology, including software applications and hardware. Additionally, you will also collaborate with systems vendors to ensure issues are resolved swiftly.
