Lead Payroll Assistant

Now is an exciting time to join us as our Lead Payroll Assistant. Our Payroll team plays a key part in keeping a £250m+ public company running and is currently getting involved in some exciting projects; from implementing an overseas Time & Attendance system, to upgrading our payroll system and working with our Reward team on Benefits projects, there is lots to get involved in!

Managing a team of 3 and reporting into the Payroll Services Manager, this is a demanding position and you will be expected to meet the various deadlines across 21 payrolls to pay all 1900 global employees accurately and on time, every time. You must already have experience of UK Payroll to be considered for this role.

You will also be required to support the delivery of payments in different currencies, understand the different payroll challenges of each Country and assist with month end reporting to both internal and external departments. You will enjoy ad-hoc requests and have the ability to be flexible to meet a range of different requests.

Our Lead Payroll Assistant will need to be confident and communicative as the role requires interaction with employees on a one to one basis and assisting with employee workshops. It is important you have both the desire to listen and understand the employee to ensure the team meets the needs of our business and be able to deal effectively with third parties.

You will need to be a supportive team player having the ability to motivate the team and offer good resolutions in difficult situations to ensure accurate and timely payrolls. Our successful candidate will deliver exceptional customer service whilst ensuring Games Workshop does not incur any unnecessary costs through inaccuracy or late payment demands.
