Do you want to be part of a high performing Global Buying and Merchandising team, forecasting and delivering products for all of Games Workshop’s customers around the world?

Are you passionate about getting results and working with key stakeholders to forecast, plan and manage the availability of inventory across Games Workshop’s international retail, online and wholesale channels?

In this position you will play a critical role in working in one of our major product categories.  Your core responsibilities will be to maximise your category’s sales by placing the right products, in the right places, at the right time. You will work with a wide range of talented colleagues to make the world’s best miniatures available for all of our customers, whenever and wherever they want them.  You will proactively manage and allocate inventory across all channels and territories, ensuring that new products are launched on time.

We know this job is fast paced, with an ever changing environment where you need to create and refine accurate forecasts and plans to generate sales growth every month, ensuring that inventory and product ranges are managed to targets. All of this needs to be achieved whilst retaining a focus on profitability and the commercial impact to the business. 

Main purpose of the role is to contribute and deliver international company, multi-channel sales growth & optimisation in cost of goods by accurate product forecasting & allocating whilst ensure we maintain high availability levels & keep stock in line with agreed stock targets.

Main responsibilities:

  • Increase sales in a defined product area by ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time through accurate forecasts, allocations & stock control.
  • Plan & ensure product ranges are accurate and up to date through range management, SKU control, availability optimisation & stock level management
  • Generate and maintain accurate sales forecasts / allocations for the defined products
  • Demonstrate sound balance between objective, fact based decision making & product category insights / knowledge
  • Continually monitor stock position, (minimising stock deficiencies & achieve maximum sell thru) acting upon, anticipating and communicating ‘out of stocks’ & overstocks
  • Provide historical analysis / commercial trading insights to support range building decisions – interpret commercial data and implement actions accordingly
  • Allocate & forecast at SKU / product level across multiple, global sales channels
  • Collaborate cross functionally and ensure strong working relationships with key stakeholders on an international level
  • Work collaboratively with our buying colleagues ensuring we share accurate quantity, sales forecasts and orders with international supply base
  • Positively influence others within the team, excel, suggest business improvements to the wider team and set a behavioural example to others

You will be best placed in this role if you have experience from an omni channel retailer, ideally within general merchandise or FMCG

To stand the best chance of being successful in this role you will need resilience and the ability to multi-task in a growing business.  You will also need to build great working relationships, possess excellent organisational skills and apply this to a multi-channel retail environment.

Other Essential Information

This is a hybrid role with a requirement to work a minimum of 2 days a week at our Nottingham Head Office
