About the Job
Are you passionate about workplace safety and eager to be part of a team committed to creating a safer work environment?
Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a WHS Coordinator to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave. Based at our brand new, purpose-built warehouse in Leppington, Sydney, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in fostering a supportive safety culture within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Health & Safety Manager to implement and maintain our WHS Management System, focusing on compliance with regulations, promoting proactive safety practices, and directing initiatives to ensure the well-being of our team. With your careful attention to detail, you’ll conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate hazards, using data from incident reports to efficiently prioritise resources. You’ll also offer guidance and support across operations, ensuring they align with company procedures and working collaboratively to find solutions when challenges arise.
Success in this position requires more than technical expertise—it’s about clear communication, teamwork, and a caring approach to safety. You will need the confidence to make decisions independently while having the good judgement to know when to seek guidance. Your ability to connect with people at all levels, inspire positive safety behaviours, and promote a “Safety First” attitude will be essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a WHS Coordinator or Administrator role, along with a Cert IV in Work Health and Safety. As you will be working closely with the Head of Safety in the UK, strong communication skills and adaptability are essential as you provide updates and insights on regional safety initiatives.
Being a new site, this role will undoubtedly come with challenges and opportunities, offering the chance to help shape the direction of health and safety within the facility – a truly exciting and rewarding time to be a part of our team.
