About the Job

Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for an Illustrator to join the Black Library art and design team where you will be responsible for producing evocative illustrations that capture all the thrilling characters, settings and stories of the Warhammer universes.
As part of Black Library’s art and design team, you’ll be responsible for producing detailed, fantastical illustrations for various products, including novel covers, large scale battle scenes, internal illustrations and vignettes.
Highly creative and with a deep understanding and passion for the Warhammer IP, we’ll look to you to produce visually engaging illustrations for Black Library products while working to a brief. You’ll possess strong digital and traditional drawing and painting skills, understand the strengths and limitations of print, and enjoy the challenge of producing highly rendered and IP accurate art to strict deadlines, whilst always pushing quality.
Dedicated and hardworking, you’ll maintain good art practice by actively engaging with the wider Art and Design team to seek out and provide feedback to your peers and implement changes positively. Driven to continuously improve, you’ll have an awareness of the techniques you wish to develop and will make productive connections to further your understanding.
If you are an experienced Illustrator with impressive drawing skills and a strong portfolio of published work, we want to hear from you!
