About the Job
Games Workshop is recruiting for an exciting and rare opportunity for a Financial Systems Accountant, initially on a 12-month contract, to support our global Systems Improvement Programme.
This role requires a people focussed individual who understands the value of teamwork to work within Finance to support a pivotal business change programme as we modernise our American business from legacy IT systems over to a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution.
Taking a methodical approach, you will support the end-to-end transformation of the American finance systems, working closely with Finance, IT and external implementation partners. Working closely with the Financial Systems and Controls Manager, you will support in ensuring that the financial elements of each stage of the project delivery are completed.
You will support requirements gathering, solution design, testing & implementation, training & development as well as any post implementation support, ensuring that all new global standard processes have been adopted. You will have the ability to work in a structured and detail-orientated manner, ensuring standardisation for finance processes and supporting data quality analysis and migration.
We’re looking for someone with an inquisitive nature as you will need to develop an understanding of how our business works so your analytical thinking, combined with a technical accounting ability and experience in project delivery, will be the key to success in this role.
This role will require excellent working relationships as you will need to collaborate both within Finance and across the business, using communication skills to translate technical accounting detail into clear information for non-Finance teams. You will possess strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to ensure that actions and plans are clear, including assessments of risk, supporting defect troubleshooting and recommending improvements to designs.
Ideally, you will have experience in project delivery within financial systems implementation underpinned by a technical accounting background and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
If you want to be part of our exciting future, we want to hear from you!
