About the Job

Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a Background Writer to join our writing team where you will write amazing background material and fiction for our Age of Sigmar products.
 
Passionate about our IP and diligent, you’ll have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Mortal Realms and you’ll be passionate about writing for every Age of Sigmar faction, with a total lack of bias. You’ll understand the impact of how background material adds value to our products, and you will be open to continuously developing your skills as you demonstrate a willingness to receive and act on feedback.
 
Highly creative and self motivated, you’ll reinforce the IP of Warhammer Age of Sigmar through the words in our core books, battletomes, campaign books and more. You will be tasked with pushing the background into new and exciting places, and developing the ongoing setting and narratives of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, whilst also developing the IP and narrative of the miniatures ranges.
 
This role will see you collaborating with the Background Writing team and Games Development team, as we’ll look to you to understand what makes great written background material and ensure that all content meets the brief and is delivered with precise word counts and on time.

Location: This role is based full time onsite at our UK Headquarters in Nottingham.
