About the Job

Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity to join our Chinese Translation team to deliver translations to the highest quality and on time.

You will be part of a team that delivers all Games Workshop Chinese translations for all core Warhammer products, including Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and our specialist games, including Horus Heresy, Warhammer The Old World, and Blood Bowl. We’ll look to you to deliver high-quality and consistent translations, ensuring perfect spelling and grammar as well as an engaging tone in everything we deliver, whilst respecting the source style and intention of all our material. We’re looking for someone who will actively research and engage with colleagues to get the best understanding of Games Workshop’s background, style, and tone and then implement that through localisation from English to Chinese.

You will be able to work at pace and have great attention to detail. We will look to you to ensure your translations are appropriate for Games Workshop’s IP so this role would ideally suit someone with knowledge of our hobby. We’ll look to you to manage your workload to ensure that your translations are of the best quality and delivered on time. Experience in using InDesign and a CAT tool would be beneficial.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to communicate fluently in Chinese, and ideally, you will hold a translation degree or have demonstrable literary translation experience in a work environment. You will be responsible for producing and maintaining a glossary of translated terms to create a shared vocabulary and will ensure that all projects are delivered on time while communicating any issues promptly and suggesting solutions for any delivery issues.
