Do you possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding standards of quality?

Are you a candidate who embodies the core values of honesty, humility, and courage? We are seeking someone who not only possesses the skills and experience for the role but also upholds these fundamental principles in their working day. Honesty is at the heart of our team’s ethos, where transparency and integrity guide every interaction. If you’re someone who values ethical conduct and believes in doing the right thing, even when it’s challenging, you’ll find a home with us.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Editor to join our Specialist Design Studio’s Editorial Department, where you’ll be working directly with our teams of in-house Writers and Graphic Designers to develop and meticulously check and edit our products as they are created and prepared for publication.

Your keen attention to detail and ability to provide feedback with integrity will ensure that we maintain the highest standards in all aspects of our operations. Pragmatic and proactive, we’ll look to you to copy edit, and proofread the text for our printed and digital products including Horus Heresy, Warhammer-The Old World, and Middle-earth™ brands, so ideally you will already have an extensive understanding of our products. We’ll look to you to check every single word in our rules manuals, packaging, and digital content meticulously to ensure that the high-quality standards of the Specialist Games and Middle-earth™ brands are met.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in an environment that values open communication and collaboration, as you’ll be working closely with the writing, editorial, graphic design and translation teams to input and coordinate amendments to text through various stages of its lifespan. We’ll look to you to give and receive constructive editorial feedback, both in-person and digitally via email and Google Docs. Previous editing experience or working within the wargames publishing industry is desirable.

The ideal candidate will consistently deliver high-quality work, meet deadlines, and uphold our values. You’ll be responsible for working with existing systems and establishing new ones to maintain the quality of the text for our products, including lexicons and text style guides for writers and other editors to use. Experience in using Macs, Google Suite, Adobe Reader, Adobe InCopy and Adobe InDesign are essential.
