About the Job
We are seeking an organized individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that retail store maintenance operations are carried out, with careful attention to detail and effective coordination with key people. You will need to be able to effectively communicate internally and externally.
You will be responsible for maintenance management for over 200 retail stores. This will mean responding with varying levels of urgency depending on the situation. You will need to thoroughly review quotes and confirm completion of work done by third parties. In addition you will be managing relationships and negotiating contacts with these vendors.
You will need to stay within a budget and maintain accurate records. You will need to have strong time management and problem solving skills in order to maintain our store standards and ensure that we are in line with our internal expectations as well as any lease requirements as well as local, state/provincial, and federal requirements as well. A key responsibility in this job will be driving our health and safety standards that need to be in line with local legislation.
While not required, it would be beneficial to be knowledgeable of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems as it applies in commercial applications. A strong understanding of basic hand tools and the physical ability to lift and work with them. Adaptability to learn our retail store installations of IT applications, security devices, network wiring, and troubleshooting skills are a plus.
