Are you an experienced HR Business Partner looking for an opportunity to support a global business in a standalone management role?

Games Workshop has an exciting new role for an experienced HR generalist to join our growing business in our Sydney office.

Our HR Business Partner will be responsible for the day to day HR and Health & Safety priorities for the Australia and New Zealand business. Working collaboratively with our managers and staff in both ANZ and worldwide you will be responsible for ensuring our people processes and practices enable our business to run efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with legislation.

In this role, you will:

  • Work in partnership with managers to ensure their plans for their teams are aligned with the people strategy, focusing on the current and future needs of the business.
  • Develop effective working relationships with managers and create an environment to effectively challenge, influence, and become a trusted partner.
  • Deliver an effective day to day operational HR service and specified Health and Safety duties.
  • Support employees with information and manage the handling of employee complaints.
  • Provide the business with recruitment support from posting adverts, offers, contracts to induction.
  • Coordinate benefits: EAP and wellbeing initiatives as required.
  • Be the Safeguarding Officer and coordinate Working with Children and Vulnerable Customers Compliance.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of employment legislation & practices and implement them appropriately.
  • Coordinate workplace safety with external support: audits and inspections, assessments, Health and Safety Committee, Workers Comp, Fire Assessment, training coordination.
  • Analyse trends and metrics on HR related activities and report as required.
  • Deliver people related projects as required.

You will be a creditable HR professional experienced in working with a wide range of people and handling lots of complex work with competing priorities.
You will have a strong employee relations background and be comfortable working through cases and advising managers of the best approach that is compliant with legislation.
