About the Job

We have an excellent opportunity for a talented and experienced Operations Manager to step into a Site Operations Manager role, supporting our new East Midlands Distribution network.

Reporting to the Senior Logistics Operations Manager, this key role contributes by leading the implementation and the management of our new operational site. You will be responsible for multi-faceted operations and the variety of processes running within. You will be financially adept and required to manage the operations within a defined budget as well as controlling costs. 

Reviewing the goals and targets of the operations to meet the current and future needs of Games Workshop, you will use your extensive knowledge of fast paced, distribution and fulfilment operations to improve our business processes. As Site Operations Manager you will lead by example, inspiring your team of direct reports to facilitate the delivery of your operational plans and priorities.

In this unique role you will build your own team, with overall responsibility for staff from operative level up. You will provide support and assurance by holding functional areas to account, to ensure work content is passed to the warehouse in the correct format. The key is to make sure you have the right people in the right place at the right time in the face of changing demand requirements!

You will ensure your team has the skills required to deliver, through investment in people and training, to achieve all agreed Service Level Agreements, both internally and externally.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and clearly communicate at all levels are key. Strong computer skills including Google Suite and Excel are a must, coupled with a positive approach to all aspects of the business.
