About the Job

Do you live and breathe Warhammer and have your finger on the pulse of the global community? Can you write punchy, authoritative copy about the Mortal Realms, the Old World, and the Horus Heresy? Do you understand what Warhammer hobbyists want to read?

We’re looking for a Writer to join Games Workshop’s Customer Engagement team, where you’ll help ideate and write fun, engaging, accurate articles, as well as copy for social media, emails, and more, in line with Games Workshop’s release schedule. Your meticulous attention to detail, creativity, and excellent command of written English will enable you to craft compelling, original content that inspires and excites hobbyists all around the world.

As a great communicator, you’ll tailor your writing to suit different audiences, channels and projects. You’ll be aware of the conversations taking place across the Warhammer community, think critically about how a piece of writing will be received by its audience, and how you might adapt your style depending on context. You’ll be resilient, adaptable, able to give and receive creative feedback, and deliver high quality work even as priorities shift and deadlines change.

The ideal person will have proven professional writing experience and an appreciation for the subtleties of writing across multiple disciplines, including newsletters, articles and social media. You’ll have in-depth, up-to-the-minute rules and lore knowledge of at least one of Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, The Horus Heresy or The Old World, and a passion to grow your familiarity with other settings and systems.

If you’re open to feedback, eager to improve, and thrive in an environment that values open communication and collaboration, then we’d love to hear from you!
