About the Job

Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a Desk Editor to join our renowned Black Library, working as part of a team to deliver top-quality fiction across a range of genres.

Thorough, and with a meticulous eye for fine detail, you will ensure that all our books are copyedited and proofread to the highest standards while making sure the IP is authentically represented. Through careful planning and excellent communication with our typesetters, you will adhere to deadlines so that all books go to print on time, and you will strive for perfection in all aspects of the work, constantly checking and rechecking to get things right.

Collaborative and passionate about the written word, you will assist the Desk Editing Manager as you maintain accurate style guides and dictionaries for all major ranges. You will work closely with our in-house commissioning and submissions teams to ensure continuous improvement of product and skill, and form productive relationships with our freelance editors, proofers and authors, offering appropriate and effective feedback during the copyediting and proofreading stages.

If you’re excited by the idea of contributing to Black Library’s bestselling and award-winning range of novels, through scrupulous attention to detail and top-quality editing, apply today!
