About the Job

Games Workshop is recruiting an exciting and rare opportunity for a Product Safety Advisor on a 12–14 month contract to support and advise on General Merchandise, Christmas ranges, and Licensed Products. You will work closely with our Buying team, Licensing team, and Licensees, ensuring products consistently meet legal requirements and Games Workshop’s Product Safety requirements. 

Uncompromising and diligent in your approach, we’ll rely on you to manage product safety through clearly communicating a set of cohesive policies, standards, and documents that Licensees adhere to. You will also be involved in the evaluation and testing of samples to support your own categories and the wider Games Workshop product range. Safeguarding Games Workshop’s interests will be at the heart of everything you do and combined with a keen eye for detail and pragmatic approach to ensure appropriate checks and balances are in place. 

Being someone who thrives in an environment where decisiveness is key will help maintain and develop a framework of processes that demonstrate regulatory compliance and risk mitigation ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality, along with the documentation to prove it. 

You will need to be proactive and with great instincts of what needs to be achieved, you will need to monitor and interpret new regulations and regulatory trends and incorporate this into company requirements across existing and new markets. 

Collaboration is key as you foster positive working relationships with a variety of internal and external teams. That means taking challenges on board readily, promptly relaying feedback in a clear, comprehensive, and courteous manner to reach effective solutions.
