About the Job
Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and industrious commissioning editor who will work with authors to develop ideas and stories set in the Age of Sigmar universe. As part of a dedicated team of editors, you will commission and edit high-quality projects to fulfil the needs of Black Library’s publishing schedule.
Highly organised and passionate about the Warhammer IP, we’ll look to you to work on projects from initial pitches through to full manuscripts, providing insightful and articulate feedback on story structure, character development, and overall quality, all while ensuring the IP is represented authentically and accurately across the range of Black Library products.
Credible and resilient, you will build strong and productive working relationships with our existing author pool, and champion and develop new talent by offering support and monitoring progress. You’ll proactively collaborate with the Black Library and wider studio teams to ensure the delivery of the Black Library release plan.
The right person will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of narrative craft, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest standard quality of work. Knowledge of the Age of Sigmar IP and experience in publishing or a similar creative field is desirable.
If you want to work with authors and develop Black Library’s bestselling and award-winning range of Age of Sigmar novels, novellas and short stories apply today!
