About the Job
Games Workshop is recruiting an exciting and rare opportunity for a Cyber Security Cloud Engineer who is truly committed to protecting our Cloud infrastructure and data from security threats, misconfigurations and unauthorised access.
This isn’t just about technical capability… Although that is important, it’s about being naturally inquisitive and providing clear, honest insights that support good decisions and help shape our long-term security goals. Conscientious and taking a right first-time approach, you will embed Cyber Security principles by design, implementing cloud native security controls and tooling from the outset.
We’re looking for someone who can collaborate with cross functional teams to embed security integrity into every aspect of our business processes. All of this will be achieved through Engineering and automation of secure cloud architectures, monitoring environments, and guiding secure adoption across Azure and AWS platforms.
Based on your strong technical capability, you’ll have the confidence in your knowledge to make fundamental changes to security processes, always looking for ways to make things better whilst adhering to internal cloud governance policies and architectural standards. Always operating in Games Workshop’s best interests will mean you stay up to date with emerging cloud and security threats and recommend improvements to our security landscape.
Your natural ability to adapt to unexpected obstacles and approach challenges with resilience and a calm resolve will allow you to interpret potential cloud risks and provide configuration improvements in line with the business strategy.
Being a people person, you will be skilled in conveying ideas with clarity, ensuring that your message resonates clearly as you provide training and guidance to teams on secure cloud usage and architecture patterns.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have a detailed knowledge of Azure and AWS security services e.g., IAM, Security Center, Key Vault, AWS KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, along with cloud security governance frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)
If you are the type of individual who can gain traction with projects, navigate multiple platforms, evolving cloud environments with confidence and inspire a sense of urgency among members of a team without sacrificing quality, this could be the role for you.

The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.
In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets) and option to join our Share Save scheme. Oh and let’s not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!
