About the Job
Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Terrain Designer to join our studio team to deliver exciting and ever higher quality miniatures terrain that brings the Warhammer Universe to life!
Practical and with an insatiable curiosity, this role will see you develop your design skills into the existing Warhammer style as you learn to create exciting and desirable terrain. With a passion for learning, you’ll strive to understand how terrain is made and used as we’ll see you learn from an experienced terrain design team by working collaboratively on projects where you will master the skills to produce finished terrain kits to brief.
Determined and adaptable, you’ll develop your understanding and apply your knowledge to designing terrain to planned deadlines and tooling guidelines. You’ll understand the impact of building strong working relationships as we’ll see you collaborating and engaging with the wider team and working closely with the Tooling department and production team to deliver manufacturable products.
A confident communicator and imaginative, we’ll see you articulate ideas for new and improved designs that demonstrate a deep passion and understanding of our worlds and stories. Highly organised and thorough, you’ll develop the skills to deliver projects to schedule as you’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining a schedule and plan.
You’ll provide clear project updates and progress to relevant teams and you’ll be responsible for preparing renders and 3D mock ups to provide visibility of the projects.
Successful candidates for this role will be able to demonstrate experience of using software such as Z Brush and Freeform.
If you have the drive to constantly improve your skills and knowledge and are passionate about developing the skills to design the best miniatures terrain in the world while working to deadlines, then we’d love to hear from you.
