Are you an existing assistant buyer / buyer who wants to be part of a high performing, fast paced, global team? Would you like to be responsible for buying & planning finished goods and raw materials? Could you help ensure that stock and materials are delivered to the right place, at the right time & at the right price?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with suppliers to deliver against quality, service & sustainability targets whilst negotiating the most competitive buying prices and terms. If all of the above sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to be part of our buying team. Someone who can become an expert in their field and buying category. Responsible for managing partnerships with a set of global suppliers you will ensure critical paths are maintained, prices are negotiated and help ensure numerous targets are met including cost, stock & availability.
Over time we’d need you to become the ‘go to’ person for your buying area, responsible for onboarding new suppliers to reduce risk and improve supply options. As an integral part of an ‘end to end’ supply chain you will work closely with people from product design, merchandise planning and logistics teams so you’ll have to enjoy cross functional working!

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven buying experience ideally having managed suppliers from across the globe
  • A track record of building long term supplier partnerships as well as managing supplier performance
  • Experience as a confident and direct negotiator
  • An engaging communication style, being confident and driven, and not being afraid to speak up
  • Excellent critical thinking & problem solving skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Good literacy, numeracy and computer skills, e.g. MS office / Google suite
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a team and cross functionally
  • Strong administrative, organisation & prioritisation skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities

The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.

Other Essential Information

Location: In this role you will be working at our head office in Nottingham (UK) and remotely from home.
Travel: There will be global travel as required to establish new sourcing markets, assess and manage supply base and attend international trade shows.
