About the Job

We are looking for a pragmatic and approachable HR Advisor with fluency in Spanish or French to join Games Workshop on a 12-month fixed-term contract. If you can balance legal risk and business needs with integrity, while supporting staff wellbeing with compassion, this could be the role for you!

Collaborating closely with the wider HR team, you’ll be responsible for providing accurate employment related advice to all staff and managers across our Sales Channels in the UK and European locations, whilst continually upholding Games Workshop’s company culture. We are looking for someone who is calm, fair and demonstrates unwavering honesty, even when faced with difficult decisions or situations.

With your in-depth knowledge and understanding of UK employment law and European employment frameworks, you’ll provide guidance on a wide range of cases such as, performance and absence, and day to day employment queries. You’ll coach managers on handling difficult conversations confidently and, above all, promote a positive staff experience. Your meticulous attention to detail and methodical approach, will ensure we remain compliant and apply internal policies consistently and fairly across all countries. 

Being proactive and thorough, you’ll stay up to date with the ever-changing employment legislation, identify and advise the wider HR Team on recurring HR issues and provide ideas for continuous improvement.

You will be a team player with the ability to deliver work independently and at pace. With strong verbal and written communication skills, you will pay attention to the facts and find solutions that take into account business needs and manage risks. You’ll also have demonstrable experience liaising with third party providers such as payroll bureaus and employment solicitors.

Other Essential Information

Language: Full business proficiency in French and/or Spanish is essential.

Contract type: 12-month fixed term contract

Location: This position will be granted on a hybrid working basis. Hybrid working options will be discussed with you at the interview.
