About the Job
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team at Games Workshop’s Head Office in Lenton, Nottingham.
Following the complete refurbishment of our kitchen, including a full upgrade of all equipment, we are looking to grow our team to effectively service both our public facing Bugman’s Bar at Warhammer World and our Game Workshop onsite staff canteen.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, being responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are thoroughly cleaned, and supporting the kitchen team in their daily tasks. Your diligence, teamwork skills, and ability to work well under pressure will contribute to the overall success of our culinary operations.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have previous experience working in a busy kitchen or catering environment, although this is not essential. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks while demonstrating strong attention to detail and cleanliness is just as important. Using your excellent communication skills to effectively work with the kitchen staff, you will quickly become a valued member of the kitchen team.
Working at Games Workshop
At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills and experience.
The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.
In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets) and option to join our Share Save scheme. Oh and let’s not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!
