About the Job

Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a Games Developer to join the studio team where you will be responsible for creating original and high quality gaming systems, compelling fiction, and concisely written hobby content for Warhammer: The Old World.
 
Highly creative and collaborative, this role will see you working in partnership with concept artists, writers, games developers, editorial team and the design team to develop ideas for new products. We’ll look to you to champion efficiency and quality as you’ll ensure finished products fully meet the brief and are delivered on time and to the highest quality.  
 
Commercially perceptive, you’ll have a strong grasp of what is required to deliver a successful product as you’ll lead and coordinate writing projects for generating original ideas for new written material, while applying strong commercial judgement to ensure the best possible results for the business.
 
Articulate and discerning, you’ll be a confident communicator and experienced at tailoring your communication style as you use text, page plans and concept briefs to explain ideas to others in ways that helpfully communicate clear themes, values and principles. We’ll look to you to champion the feedback process to the wider writing team as you lead by example and demonstrate the value of feedback in achieving the best possible outcomes.
 
Determined and self-critical you’ll have a solid understanding of what good looks like, as you strive to deliver the best written products possible. Your down-to-earth approach will see you helping others to learn and question the nature of great game design and writing, as you seek to find the best solution to deliver an increasing quality of product.

The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.

Location: This role is based full time onsite at our UK headquarters in Nottingham.
