About the Job
Games Workshop has a new and fantastic opportunity to join our Engineering team as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. If you are an Engineering professional looking for your next exciting challenge, we invite you to read on.
Our Manufacturing goal is to make the right products in the right volumes at the right time, to the agreed standard and in the most efficient and sustainable manner. In doing this, we need to maintain and improve the facilities, equipment and infrastructure we have in place now, whilst also introducing new equipment and technologies to support our capacity growth.
As Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will work alongside the Engineering Manager and Project Management team to ensure the safe delivery of large scale technically complex projects, within both Manufacturing and Estates. In doing this, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to consistency, ensuring that all tasks are completed with the highest level of accuracy and reliability. You will champion best practice and full compliance with regards to contractor management and sustainability and will maintain strong collaborative ties to our Health and Safety teams. You will regularly audit projects, post completion, and provide clear recommendations for improvement.
In this role, you will be recognised as an Engineering subject matter expert, providing clear insight and expertise for a wide range of Manufacturing and Estate operations, with a specific emphasis on Plastics Manufacturing. Where required, you will provide mentorship and guidance to our existing Engineers and Engineering apprentices, ensuring that your input aligns to our policies and our goals.
As a vital member of our team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our messaging, both internally and externally, is crystal clear. You will achieve this by supporting the development of clear service level agreements and measures to ensure that expectations and performance are understood by all parties, and that improvement plans can be formed and implemented.
Having previous experience of working in an Engineering role in a Manufacturing environment, you will also have detailed knowledge of Plastics Manufacturing, with particular reference to Injection Moulding and Tool Making. You will also have an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background.
If you are keen to promote a continuous improvement culture, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver change, this could well be the job for you!
